Mertz Theatre at Asolo Repertory Theatre tickets & upcoming events

If you're looking for a spot that really captures Sarasota's artsy vibe, the Mertz Theatre at Asolo Repertory Theatre is a must-visit. This historic gem, awarded the Sarasota County Historic Preservation Award back in 2014, boasts stunning architecture that’s a true piece of the city's heritage. The theatre itself sits comfortably on the upper level of the cultural building, and getting there is a breeze, just hop on the escalator or elevator from the lobby. It’s nestled near the heart of the historic district, just a short stroll from the main square and that iconic fountain. But honestly, what makes the Mertz special isn’t just its storied walls. It’s the energy, whether you’re catching a dance performance by the Paul Taylor Dance Company from front-row seats or enjoying Sarasota Ballet’s VIP sections. The theatre’s got an interactive seating chart that makes it easy to find the best deals or the most exclusive spots. Trust me, the thrill of live theatre here is contagious. It’s a place where every night feels like a little celebration, so don’t wait too long to snag your tickets, the best seats sell out fast and you really don’t want to miss out on the magic.
